We are a collegial, boutique law firm with offices in Annapolis and Fulton, Maryland. Ranked nationally both by practice group and by individual attorneys in business and complex bankruptcy law, our insolvency group also handles court workouts and litigation. Currently, we are actively recruiting for the following positions:
Associate-Level Bankruptcy Attorney
A junior or mid-level associate to enhance its complex commercial bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring and commercial litigation practice. Candidates with bankruptcy judicial clerkships and journal experience are encourages to apply.
The ideal candidate will have experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, or creditors’ rights; additional experience in commercial litigation matters is preferred. Candidates with bankruptcy judicial clerkships and journal experience are encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates will be self-starters with strong client-management skills, academic credentials, legal research and writing skills.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience practicing law in the State of Maryland
- Commercial bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring and creditors' rights law experience required
- Commercial litigation experience a plus
- Strong legal research, legal writing, oral advocacy, analytical, and interpersonal skills are a must
- Enthusiasm, detail-orientation, high motivation and a talent to focus on problem solving
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A desire for immediate contact with clients and consultants
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from accredited law school
Certifications:
- Admission to State Bar of Maryland preferred (with membership in good standing)

Junior Partner-Level Real Estate Transactional Attorney
A junior partner-level real estate transactional attorney with at least 7+ years practicing real estate transactions, with expertise in acquisitions/dispositions, finance, leasing, and joint ventures, for a position within the firm’s busy Commercial Real Estate, Business, Land Use and Environmental practice. Qualifications/Requirements:
- Significant experience negotiating, revising and preparing: letters of intent, commercial lease agreements, lease amendments, loan documents, purchase and sales agreements, settlement, closing documents, management and fee agreements, restrictive covenants, subordination agreements, loan agreements and construction agreements
- Experience advising C-Suite staff
- Proven team player capable of taking ownership of projects and collaborating effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to effectively and proactively manage a high volume of cases and multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Admission to the State Bar of Maryland, with membership in good standing, preferred
